The Learning Center at Bayshore is currently accepting registration for the Summer and Fall programs listed below. Register now or get on our free wait list.
Summer Camp, Ages 3-6 (May 27 to August 20, 2008)
This is a full day camp for ages 3 through 6. We have an excellent young explorer program for summer! The summer focus will be on getting out into nature. 16 acres of wonderful greenbelt areas are awaiting our discovery! The children will have blocks of time for discover play in the woods, and make notes and drawings in their nature-observation journal. The pond has migratory visitors that make nests on the water, lay eggs, and rear their young. The grasses grow a little each day. The leaves come out. In this plastic world, we want to reconnect with nature and allow our young explorers to discover what an amazing world is right out the door! We go swimming in the on-site swimming pool every week throughout the summer.

Part day preschool, Ages 3-6 (Aug 20, 2008 to May 21, 2009)
The part day preschool program offers a well-balanced curriculum of Montessori and current early childhood guidelines. The curriculum is based on the childrens individual interests, talents, and desire to learn. The teachers use this information to prepare daily lessons, to focus on activities such as art projects, songs, finger plays, and learning through exploring the classroom environment. Lesson plans evolve naturally and are driven primarily by the interests of the group. We go swimming in the on-site swimming pool every other week throughout the winter.

Full day preschool, Ages 3-6 (Aug 20, 2008 to Aug 18, 2009)
The classroom is setup to cultivate a childs desire to learn. This educational process builds confidence and develops self discipline. Special classroom materials are used so the child can work independently and "learn by doing". Children are encouraged to exercise the freedom to pursue their individual needs, and to set a natural rate of progress by doing work of their choice. The teacher develops a challenging and aesthetically appealing environment that attracts the child to work, and offers a variety of lessons for the individual, small, and large groups. Children in our classrooms learn through example and guidance to behave in an orderly manner with respect for others rights.

Before/after school care for K-1 at Bayshore Elementary
Aug 20 for continuing students and Aug 27, 2008 for new students through to May 21, 2009
We offer before and after care to students in Kindergarten and 1st grade up to their 7th birthday that attend Bayshore Elementary. The children arrive at our center between 7:00 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. A teacher will accompany them to school. Your child is responsible for arriving at the flag pole in front of Bayshore Elementary immediately after school where they will be greeted by our staff and accompanied back to TLC.
