Empower your child with swim lessons!

Open to members and the general public, ages 3 and up. A big advantage of Bayshore's pool is that the swimmers taking lessons are the ONLY swimmers in the pool during lessons!

SWIM LESSONS WILL BE OFFERED FEBRUARY THROUGH APRIL WITH SIGN-UP ONE MONTH AT A TIME. 

 
February  7, 9, 14, 16, 21 and 23   
Tu/Th 4:00 to 5:30 pm

UPDATE AS OF Jan 31 at 4:30pm
   Level 1 (5 max) 4:00 to 4:30pm - class FULL
   Level 2 (4 max) 4:30 to 5:00pm - class FULL
   Level 3 (4 max) 5:00 to 5:30pm - two openings 

Members $60 for each session of six 1/2 hr lessons
Non-Members $72 for each session of six 1/2 hr lessons

NEW reservation contracts must be filled out for 2017, filled on 1st come basis. Payment must be received for reservation. 

If entire session is cancelled, refund for whole session refunded.
Once session begins, no refunds.

Swim lessons are for three weeks on Tue/Thu for 30 minutes Sessions are from 400-430p or 430-500p or 500-530p Time of lesson depends on level of swimmer.

SWIM LESSON GUIDE
Which Level is Right for my Child?

Level 1:
For children 3 years old and up. Level one is for beginners with little or no experience in water. Skills that are taught at this level include: 

Level 2:
For children 3 years old and up. In order to be enrolled in Level 2 your child must be able to confidently demonstrate all of the following skills:
  • Totally submerge under the water holding breath
  • Blow bubbles out through the mouth and nose
  • Front glide with a flutter kick (unassisted)
  • Front and back float (unassisted)
  • Jump into 4 feet of water and swim back to the wall
  • Freestyle arm movements with flutter kick
  • Dolphin kick and butterfly arm stroke
Level 3:
For children 3 years old and up. In order to be enrolled in Level 3 your child must be able to confidently demonstrate the skills in Level 2 and will learn the following:
  • Back glide with flutter kick (unassisted)
  • Freestyle arms/flutter kick with bilateral, rhythmic breathing
  • Backstroke
  • Side glide with flutter (right and left sides)
  • Jump into 5 feet of water and swim back to the wall
